Disinformation ……..

A picture supplied to Region One Report that is very interesting to say the least.....

The Meeting Before the Meeting

Disinformation is intentionally false or inaccurate information that is spread deliberately. For this reason, it is synonymous with and sometimes called black propaganda. It is an act of deception and false statements to convince someone of untruth. Disinformation should not be confused with misinformation, information that is unintentionally false.

Unlike traditional propaganda techniques designed to engage emotional support, disinformation is designed to manipulate the audience at the rational level by either discrediting conflicting information or supporting false conclusions. A common disinformation tactic is to mix some truth and observation with false conclusions and lies, or to reveal part of the truth while presenting it as the whole (a limited hangout).

Another technique of concealing facts, or censorship, is also used if the group can affect such control. When channels of information cannot be completely closed, they can be rendered useless by filling them with disinformation, effectively lowering their signal-to-noise ratio and discrediting the opposition by association with many easily disproved false claims.

Here is a great example of disinformation….

A direct quote (disinformation) from Mr. John Mauer …”After the meeting, Marshall Miles, a member of the political public, shouted something unintelligible at the board from the back of the room and the political throng cheered. This activity appears on the verge of riot. No one need wonder why positive comments are rarely made at these meetings; who wants to be harassed by vulgar people. Perhaps a state trooper is needed at the next meeting.”

How incredible..just a few weeks ago the opposition to the budget was “just a few troublemakers, and the town of Falls Village”. Now  ALL SIX TOWNS have defeated the budget, and the budget is going on its FOURTH vote and the opposition is called a “political throng”. Desperate times call for desperate actions..see the picture above, Mr. Mauer obviously gets his writing orders direct from the top.

Also, I did not shout, if you watch the video of the meeting you can barely hear me tell Mr. Moore that he can not  tell me I am out-of-order for talking to the board and public …after the meeting has been adjourned. And, by-the-way, what I told the board was ” they should all resign”..that elicited  applause  from everyone one  except for three people.

No one has EVER been harassed from speaking in favor of the budget, NEVER. No one has ever been intimidated from speaking in favor of the budget, NEVER. The only intimidation in Region One comes from the administration, the board chair, and vice-chair, just look at the videos of the Region One Board Meetings  the last three years.

Desperate times call for desperate actions…as is clear by the administrations and the board chairman’s actions.

How about they listen to the public?  That would be a great place to start.
