The assistant principal of Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury has accepted the job of principal at Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

Martinez qualifications include state certification to teach mathematics, biology, chemistry, and physics, according to the district’s release.He also has experience with the New England Association of School and Colleges’ accreditation process, having participated in 13 school visits representing the association. Housatonic Valley will start its accreditation process in 2016.
